Our annual Fall Foliage trip to the Mason-Dixon Specialty Show in Middleburgh, VA turned into 'Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland' as the entire weekend of shows was snowed out stranding us in Leesburg. Great company and fun nonetheless, and I got to watch a puppy's first introduction to tracking.

December 25, 2009 Boy did I get a GREAT! Christmas present!! A gorgeous quilt made from Best of Breed, Award of Merit, and Sporting Group First ribbons and rosettes won by Am/Can CH White River's Ziggy Stardust, JH. Lordy, the miles and memories it represents. And most incredible? My quilt is less than half the ribbons; Becky has one just like it. Check it out:

December 13, 2009 Another new Champion! Olde Ridge Secret Spice, daughter of the Zigmeister, finishes in style with a 4 point Best of Winners award at the Cleveland Christmas Cluster shows.
November 22, 2009 Schutzen's Lock N Load, bred by Tracy Novoa and sired by our Ziggy bypassed the Junior level of the AKC Hunt Tests and went straight for Senior. And Boy did he go! Today he boasts the 'SH' title at the end of his registered name.
November 13 - 15, 2009 A big weekend for Ziggy kids. Autumns's Stardust and Roses finishes her bench Championship, and Dinges Pointsetter Voodoo Child, owned by Charlie and Amy Edwards tops a large class dog entry in Columbus Ohio for a Major win.
November 6, 2009 Autumn's Stardust and Roses, a Ziggy daughter bred and owned by Richard and Linda Stark, tops a tough lineup in the east for her second major show win.
November 1, 2009 Old Ridge White River Top Secret grabs his second major in the show ring at the Northeastern Indiana KC in Ft. Wayne. Congratulations to owner Doug Manson, and thanks to wife Sandy for all her time providing shuttle service.
October 23, 2009 A First for White River!!!! We proudly announce CH White River's Title Page has earned her CDX at the GSPC of Wisconsin Trial. Hats off to Paige and owner Karen Combs; you two are a credit to the Shorthair fancy!
Sept 20, 2009 Two Ziggy daughters finish AKC CH on same day. Kudos to Schutzen's Bella Stardust Bandelli, bred by Traci Novoa and owned by Dena Calivas; and to Star K Mile Hi Charlotte, bred and owned by Richard And Linda Stark.
September 12, 2009 Success in the ring and the field for some of Ziggy's boys. CH Star-k Mile Hi Carlos Stardust notches his second Sporting Group placement of his budding career - a Sporting Group 2 behind the Best in Show winning Gordon Setter at the Greater Lafayette KC show. Meanwhile there was a bright white flash across the horizon at an Irish Setter Trial in Delaware as Pointsetter Lawyers, Guns & Money streaked through and cleaned the bird field to win his two Derby points.

After almost a year of slacking, during which many eciting things happened for White River dogs and their devoted owners, I have resumed posting our news. I am not brave enough to try to go back and list all that happened in between, because I would definitely forget something important. Will try to stay on top of things from here on. We are so thrilled and honored to have Old Ridge Whiteriver Top Secret chosen as Winners Dog/ Best of Winners/ Best in Specialty Show at the GSPC of Wisconsin event. The honor even more special as it was bestowed by judge Joyce Ruigrok visiting from Ireland. "Max" is the third consecutive "Ziggy" kid to win this mid-summer Specialty Show. Hearty Congrats to his Breeder Ann King-Wallace, and his owner Doug Manson.

Am/Can Ch White River's Ziggy Stardust, JH goes BISS at the Fort Dearborn GSPC Specialty Show under Lester Mapes at the tender age of 10 (the judge was a bit older). This was Specialty Best of Breed #23 for this amazing dog, which we believe to be a record for the breed.

At an AKC agility trial hosted by Blitzen Agility Club of Chicago "Wager" (AKC/UKC Ch WhiteRiver PS I Lost My Shirt, CD, RE,CGC,CL-1,CL2-RSF) earned his 2nd Jumpers (NAJ) leg. He out-ran and out-maneuvered a huge 24-inch class (loaded with Border Collies) for First Place. He also earned his first leg toward his NF in the FAST class, earning 60 points in a wicked fast 24.96 seconds.
6/22/2008 - 6/22/2008: A New Champion and a ROM Mom!
Proud owner Mike McMillen piloted White River Ps Vicotry is Mine, aka 'Enzo' to his Championship at the Echo Hills KC show in Troy, Ohio under judge Jean Fournier. Enzo is the fifth champion from the Mayberry Mob litter, and the eigth overall for his dam, CH White River Hot Pants Zoe. Now proud breeders Char, Amy and Charlie must learn how to complete the new paperwork for Zoe's GSPCA ROM title!

A Big Woo Hoo to Sharon Fitzpatrick and White River Surepoint Pizzaz for Best of Winners to FINISH her championship today under Marryanne Alston in De Kalb, IL. This team had just picked up their second major the previous weekend in Iowa.
3/14/2008 - 3/16/2008: Another 'Z' on a Major Roll
White River Zamboni had a great time at the Louisville Cluster, grabbing his second and third 4 Point majors under respected sporting judges Paula Nykiel and R.W.Powell. Congrats to Doug and Ken! The Louisville KC show on Sunday was truly a family affair with BOB earned by his half-sister Ch White River Pixie Stardust and BOS awarded to half-brother CH Star-K n MSL's Corcovado.
2/10/2008: Another CH and BOB win
'Cozmo'- White River's Cozmic Stardust decided to follow in his brother's foot steps and finished his CH by going WD for a 5pt. major at the Hoosier Kennel Club Show. 'Dusty'- Ch. White River Pixie Stardust not wanting to be left out- takes the breed again on Sunday.

Not to be out done by her half-brother...'Dusty' Ch. White River Pixie Stardust takes the breed in tough competition the next day after the Specialty at the Central Indiana Kennel Club.
2/8/2008: Best Bred-By in Show!!!
Wow what a day for White River at the GSPC of Indiana Specialty! 'Gryffen'-White River Wizard On Wings finishes by going WD/BOW for a 5 pt. major. Then Char and Gryf went on to win the Bred-By Sporting group and then BEST BRED-BY IN SHOW!!! What a great way to finish a champion!
